exterior transformation

Cumaru wood siding was added, a durable and aesthetically pleasing material that’s strong, rot resistant, and sustainable.

Inside the home, red oak was selected for both the floors and cabinets. The kitchen and bathrooms were updated with tiles from Zia Tile, Riad Tile, and TileBar, adding distinctive and high-quality finishes to these essential spaces.

windows and doors

To improve both energy efficiency and aesthetics, a combination of Andersen 100 and 200 Series windows and doors was installed. These additions allowed for better natural lighting and a more inviting atmosphere throughout the home.

design additions

The design included several notable features. A slatted screen was added to the staircase, providing a modern touch while maintaining an open feel between spaces. On the exterior, the deck was enhanced with curved railing corners, adding a unique design element that also improved safety.

structural challenges

One of the most challenging aspects of this project was installing a new steel beam in the basement to support the middle load-bearing wall. This structural upgrade was necessary to ensure the stability of the house and to accommodate the design changes.

system upgrades

The renovation included comprehensive system upgrades. The home received new roofing, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. These updates were crucial for improving the overall functionality and efficiency of the house.
